A 52-Week Art Journaling Journey

Transform a deck of cards into a personal masterpiece—one week, one prompt, and one mini canvas at a time!

Playing with a Full Deck is a year-long creative experience designed to spark your imagination, build a low-stress art habit, and connect you with a community of fellow makers. Whether you're an experienced junk journaler or brand new to paper crafting, this 52-week journey gives you structured inspiration all year long.

🌟 How It Works

• Kickoff Event (Jan 2, 2027 | 10 AM – 4 PM):

Join us for a come-and-go event at Secondhand Art Depot! Pick up your playing card deck, punch your holes, and decorate your front and back covers using our studio tools and supplies. Can't make it? No problem just pick it up at your convenience during our business hours the next week.

• Weekly Envelopes:

Every week, pick up a new envelope packed with that week's prompt, theme, and curated materials! (Some items you will have to provide, like paint and washi tape.) Envelopes are ready for pickup starting the Saturday before each week begins.

• Flexible Pickups:

Life happens! If you miss a week, simply pick up your missed envelopes along with your current one during our normal studio hours:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Exclusive Facebook Group:

Get access to our private community to share your weekly creations, swap tips and tricks, ask for advice, and draw inspiration from fellow participants.
